To develop young peoples’ skills in a way that prepares them to exercise their rights and responsibilities, playing an active and curious role as producer, consumer and citizen in the economic world of the future.

In order to achieve our mission the Business Department sets itself a number of aims. These are threads that run through all our teaching at KS4 and KS5, and can be summarised as follows:

• To offer a variety of subjects and employ a range of teaching strategies to enable all students to enjoy learning and achieve relevant qualifications
• To enable students to develop a range of personal qualities essential for the workplace, including politeness, perseverance, initiative and independence
• To have the opportunity of taking part in a variety of ‘real’ business experiences
