Peer Mentoring
Our Senior Student Peer Mentors make a valuable contribution to the school community by supporting younger students to experience success and emotional wellbeing in school.
Having applied to take on the role of peer mentors, Year 12 students are then individually interviewed to ensure their suitability for the role. They spend a day training to develop the specific skills necessary, which include good listening and communication skills as well as safeguarding of students. Students look forward to joining our existing team and offering support throughout the school. Peer Mentor intervention can make a significant difference to a younger student’s life.
Congratulations to our students who have shown commitment and enthusiasm in taking on and fulfilling this rewarding role which enriches and broadens their Sixth Form experience alongside helping others.
